Survival suits and dry suits

A flotation suit or a dry suit is a highly convenient piece of safety equipment for anglers, particularly on boats. When the temperature of water is 5 degrees Celsius, hypothermia sets in in 5–15 minutes, quickly followed by loss of consciousness. A dry suit provides a lot of additional time for rescue and also keeps you dry in a rainstorm and in rough seas. As a survival suit will not turn an unconscious person the right way up in the water, we also reccommend using an automatic life jacket or life preserver.
